In memoriam: Jorge Sanchez

Jorge Sanchez, Systems & Applications Specialist IV at the Brown Foundation Institute for Molecular Medicine, died unexpectedly Oct. 31, 2022. He was 43.

Sanchez worked for UTHealth Houston for more than 11 years in the office of Medical School Information Technology (MSIT).

“He was beloved by many, and he was a really awesome employee,” said Bassel Choucair, associate vice president, IT User Experience and Support. “We shall miss him dearly.”

He is survived by his daughters, Layla and Tori; his parents, Jose and Leticia; and his siblings, Omar (also a UTH employee with MSIT), Lety and Roberto.
