Artificial Intelligence in Epilepsy Conference

Samden Lhatoo, MD, executive vice chair, and John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Distinguished University Professor of Neurology has organized the inaugural International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Epilepsy and Neurological Disorders.

The event will be held March 7-10 in Breckenridge, Colo. Registration for the conference is ongoing and can be found here.

The International Conference on AI in Epilepsy and Neurological Disorders features an exciting series of lectures and panel discussions on machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence in the field. The conference addresses a broad range of topics, from phenotyping epilepsy and drug discovery, to seizure forecasting, and thalamic neuromodulation.

The overarching goal of the conference is to educate clinicians, researchers, computer scientists, developers, and entrepreneurs on the utility and implications of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the field of epilepsy and other neurological disorders.

Presenters from the McGovern Medical School Department of Neurology include GQ Zhang, PhD, professor and Distinguished Chair in Digital Innovation; Jeremy Slater, MD, professor; Sanipan Pati, MD, associate professor; Sunil Sheth, MD, associate professor; and Lhatoo. Nitin Tandon, MD, professor and chair ad interim of the Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery, also will present.
