April is national Sarcoidosis Awareness Month. Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory diseases that is characterized by tiny collections of granulomas in any part of the body. The disease is most commonly found in the lungs and lymph nodes but can also affect eyes, skin, heart, and other organs.

Treatment at UT Physicians for sarcoidosis is directed by Gautam Sikka, MD, and is dedicated to the care and study of sarcoidosis and raining awareness about the condition.
