Welcome

Welcome from the Program Director

Sabina Khan

Sabina Khan, MD

Thank you for your interest in our Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program. It is a privilege to lead a program dedicated to exceptional pediatric care, meaningful education, and ongoing innovation. Our institution serves as a regional hub for pediatric medicine, and we take great pride in offering a fellowship experience that is both academically rigorous and personally fulfilling.

Our fellows gain broad and immersive exposure to neonatal and pediatric pathology within a high-volume clinical setting. You will work closely with a faculty who are deeply invested in teaching, mentorship, and excellence in patient care. This close collaboration allows fellows to develop confidence and advanced expertise in managing complex pediatric cases, all within a culture that values support, collegiality, and mutual respect.

Beyond the clinical experience, our fellowship is strengthened by a diverse group of faculty who are leaders in education, research, and advocacy at the local, regional, and national levels. Just as importantly, we believe that where you train matters. Our surrounding community offers a welcoming environment with rich culture, great food, and a strong sense of connection, making it a wonderful place to live and grow during your fellowship year.

We are proud of the training we provide and the fellows who become part of our program. We look forward to sharing what makes our Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship a special place to train and hope to welcome you to our community.

Welcome from the Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellows

Thank you for visiting the Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program webpage! As current fellows, we are delighted to share our experiences and highlight what makes this program such an exceptional place to train.

From the very beginning, we have been welcomed into an environment where fellow well-being is truly a top priority. Our program is intentionally designed to support us, not to use us as a workforce. That commitment is reflected in the culture, scheduling, and the genuine investment our faculty make in our personal and professional growth. We are encouraged to ask questions, seek guidance, and develop at our own pace within a nurturing, collaborative setting.

From day one, we have been immersed in a high-acuity, high-volume clinical environment with a wide variety of complex neonatal and pediatric cases that continuously strengthen our skills and confidence. Our faculty are deeply committed to education and mentorship, creating a learning atmosphere where we feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to grow. The breadth of clinical exposure from complex neonatal cases to rare pediatric conditions has been invaluable in shaping our competence and identity as future pediatric anesthesiologists.

Equally important, the fellowship fosters a strong sense of camaraderie. We have formed close bonds with each other and with our interdisciplinary colleagues, making this year not only academically fulfilling but personally meaningful. Outside the hospital, we enjoy the rich culture, hospitality, and vibrant community that our city offers, helping create a balanced and memorable training experience.

We are grateful for the opportunity to train here and are excited to share more about why this program has been such a positive and transformative part of our journey. We hope you consider joining our fellowship family and experiencing this supportive, education-focused environment for yourself.

Warm regards,
The Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellows
