Cardiovascular and Thoracic Fellowship Didactics
In addition to clinical and research responsibilities, time is blocked weekly for departmental Grand Rounds, resident and fellow education, as well as echo lectures. Bimonthly journal clubs typically conducted off campus provide a wonderful educational and collegial opportunity.
We encourage fellows to attend educational conferences such as the SCA Annual Meeting and SCA Echo Week. Fellows receive a yearly stipend to support these endeavors with the opportunity for additional monetary support for presenting at these conferences.
In addition, fellows are excused from their clinical duties in order to attend Fellow’s Bootcamp which provides CME credit and is endorsed by The American Society of Echocardiography. Registration fees are covered.
