Miscellaneous Information

Orientation: 3 days of orientation. 2 days of buddying in the OR utilizing system-based practice (including perioperative workflow, equipment, pre-operative unit and post-anesthesia care unit.

Non-Clinical Time:  Fellows are provided with one non-clinical day each month.

Mentor:  Fellow picks a senior and a junior mentor after 2 months of being in the OR.
Feedback: Every quarter using tools for fellow evaluation.

Vacation (4 weeks) including additional time off to attend the SPA-AAP Pediatric Anesthesiology Annual Meeting, to interview for future career opportunities, and during the December holidays.

Calls:  Fellows are expected to take 2 weekday calls a month (3 pm-7 am).  No weekend calls.

No calls during CV (Cardiovascular), PICU, Regional and Elective month.

Moonlighting: Fellows have the option to moonlight on the weekends as per ACGME policy.

Sick days: 5 days

Conference/Meeting days: 5

Interviews: Discretionary

Educational allowance: $500, additional allowance $500 if presents at a conference.

Fellows are provided with education material i.e., books and pediatric stethoscopes.
